TURNIP MOTH     Agrostis segetum
Recent records probably of immigrants - appears to have declined in recent decades.
Rosie said that it was common except in Region 3, but it was not recorded from the Rothamsted sites
Recent records are mainly from well watched coastal sites

Scottish Status: Widespread lower altitudes, scarcer N and W, also migrant  UK Status: Common
UK abundance shows major long-term decrease but no significant distribution change (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: Spring: 25th April to 28th May; Autumn: 13th July to 23rd October
