Widespread in suitable habitat.
Not recorded by Rosie, but reported from five of the Rothamsted sites and more recently a scattering of records annually across the County
Scottish Status: Common - stable. UK Status: Common
UK distribution shows a modest increase since 1970 (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 3rd May to 13th July. Two late record on 10th & 12th August may indicate a second generation.
