Lower photograph shows detail of black streaks not extending on to fringes of outer edge of forewing
which helps to separate this species from Chamomile Shark
The distribution trend in UK shows a significant long-term decline (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 12th June to 29th July
