Local and scarce.
Said by Rosie to be widely distributed in Region 1 and 2, but most common in Region 4.
Recorded from four Rothamsted sites with the majority of the records from the Reay site.
Scottish Status: Common - stable. UK Status: Common
UK abundance has declined severely since 1970 (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 13th August to 23rd September
