Local and scarce in suitable habitat.
Rosie found it not uncommon in Regions 2 and 4, and it was recorded at three of the Rothamsted sites between 1980 and 1998.
Since 2010 it has been irregularly recorded in a small number of sites across the County
Scottish Status: Local, most frequent in NW - stable. UK Status: Local
UK distribution shows a major decline since 1990 (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 19th May to 23rd June. One late record 14th July
