Widespread and common. Commonest in Autumn but may be under recorded in Spring
At light traps usually recorded in small numbers, but comes to sugar in greater numbers eg 15 recorded on sugar on 26th September 2010 in ND27
Scottish Status: Common - stable. UK Status: Local
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithess: Spring: 17th February to 8th May: 10th September to 1st December
