DECEMBER MOTH Poecilacampa populi
Two recent records from ND12 & ND13 in 2015  and from ND02 in 2021
Probably under recorded due to lack of fieldwork during main flight period so records may not give a true picture of status.
Described by Rosie as being fairly common except in region 3, but the only records since then and before 2015 are 6 records of 12 individuals from the Latheron Rothamsted trap in 1981.

UK abundance has decreased significantly since 1970 (cf; Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight dates recorded in Caithness: 17th October to 22nd November
