Not recorded by Rosie so possibly a recent colonist - first recorded from NC96 in 1990
Scottish Status: Common - stable. UK Status: Common
UK distribution has expanded significantly sine 1970, particularly in Scotland,and abundance has increase significantly (cf: Atlas of Britain & Ireland's Larger Moths)
First and last flight times recorded in Caithness: Spring: 21st January to 28th April     Autumn: 4th October to 12th November
