ANGLE SHADES Phlogophora meticulosa
Common in small numbers particularly in Autumn.
Two records of  larva, one of female laying eggs and one of recently emerged adult (photo below) indicate a resident population probably sustained by immigrants

First and last flight times recorded in Caithness: 24th April to 13th December.   One early record: 7th April
